Because My State is Cooler than Your State

Oklahoma just named it's official state rock song. We had the official state song, the official state folk song, the official state country song, the official state children's song, the official state drinking song (well, maybe not...), but no rock song. And what better way to promote a Rock and Roll Exhibit than to name an Official State Rock Song by vote of the people?

Yeah, my state is cooler than yours. Except you, Ohio. Ohio has a state rock song. But Ohio also has the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

So, on Monday, "Do You Realize??" by The Flaming Lips was named the Official Oklahoma State Rock Song.
