So, we went on vacation. Not just vacation, megavacation. We took all of Alec's time off for the year (ten work days) and went to Ireland and Italy for a total of 16 days. It was indescribable, but you know me, that's not going to stop me from trying to describe it :-)
But first, the aftermath.
It's been a bit over a week since we returned home and life has pretty much resumed its normal course. We got home to our puppies who had been spoiled by their Norman grandparents, Daphne came home from a month-long visit with her Broken Arrow grandparents, and our house once again feels complete. Presents have been distributed (for the most part) and laundry has been done. We spent a week back at work attempting to let people know the awesome that we experienced. Well, and working too :-) We've already started thinking about our next possible international adventure, now that we have a taste of the jet-setting life.
I am finding it a little bit difficult to think that we were actual at the beautiful places in our photos. I did a bit of journaling while we were sitting in cafes or on the trains and airplanes, but I have so much to catch up on to record our adventure. I don't want to forget any of the laughter or confusion or "oh wow" moments, as difficult as it may be to arrest time and memory. But time marches on, you pick up "real life" where you dropped it, and start looking toward whatever the next adventure might be :-)
But, before marching on, how about a few installments of the TEAM Bass European Tour?
