Because Mallori is My Inspiration

My amazing friend and sister Mallori over at Life is Beautiful has started doing the 30 Pictures in 30 Days photo challenge, and I've been inspired. And, it sounds like it might be fun :-) So, to keep up with the aiukli, I thought I'd join the fun.

My list may differ from hers, but the idea is the same--to explore life in photographs. Such a fun project!

Day 1: A Picture of Yourself with 10 Facts

The photos is above, so here's just the facts, ma'am.

1) I am afraid of birds. But I married a man who's nickname is Bird. Amazing.
2) I have four degrees, two bachelors degrees and two masters degrees. I'm going back for a Ph.D. Apparently I am a masochist.
3) I can't whistle. My friends at church growing up tried to teach me. I failed.
4) I won three days on Jeopardy! my senior year of college. It wasn't college Jeopardy!, although I tried to get on the college tournament.
5) When I was growing up, I thought I would be Miss America, a veterinarian, the President of the United States, or a medical researcher. I am an editor at the state Historical Society and I LOVE my job.
6) I am a sister and a brother. No, I'm not hermaphroditic, I am a member of Alpha Gamma Delta women's fraternity and Phi Sigma Pi National Coed Honor Fraternity, which means I am both a sister and a brother. And some of my sisters are my brothers. Oh, and I have an actual, biological brother and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, too.
7) I eat my carrot sticks with mustard.
8) I play the French horn, although I haven't had the opportunity to do so since I changed churches in December. I'm a proud band nerd!
9) I may be addicted to Dr. Pepper. And Mr. Pibb is NOT the same!
10) I sing in the car. A lot.

I'm going to continue posts about the wedding, so some days there may be two. Hopefully that's not overkill :-)

WOAH! I knew you had a lot of degrees, but DAMN. I need a calculator to add them up now :) And, congrats again on starting the PhD program.

I'm going to have to try carrots with mustard...too bad it'll have to be in the US. I can't find mustard in my town.

THIRD, AND MOST IMPORTANT. I GOT A PACKAGE FROM YOU AND BIRD TODAY! Holy crap! Elizabeth, it seriously made everything so much better here. You and Bird put so much time and effort in it. I especially loved the letters. I enjoyed every part of it and I'll enjoy it every day from here on out.

THANK YOU. And, look for something on my blog and something in the mail from me!
