As most of you are aware, for the past four years I have decided that, since I have no desire to recognize Feb. 14th as the feast day of St. Valentine, patron saint of chalky candy conversation hearts and cards reading, "I Choo-Choo-Choose You," I celebrate an extra St. Patrick's Day, patron saint of creepy leprechauns and green beer. To my way of thinking, it's a much more fun holiday.
Anyway, this year's festivities included a visit from Karen and Jeff (!) and the OU Club of Collin County, Texas. I tagged along with them to the OU vs. Texas Tech basketball game and had oodles of fun getting free food and swag for graduating from the university. See, I knew those diplomas would get me something! Pictures to follow.
Post-game, post-afternoon, post-slight breakdown, and post-Jo getting off work, Briton, Jo, and I had our traditional green beverages and watched that incredibly St. Patrick's Day appropriate movie, Dodgeball. I added a little too much green dye to the beverages, but really, can they be too green?
And now I have read that my good friend the Admiral celebrated St. Andrew's Day yesterday with a bottle of Glenlivet and hermit-like tendencies. Awesome.
